‘Immortals’ First Trailer!

The highly anticipated, first official trailer for Immortals was released to the internet yesterday and god, doesn’t it look stunning?! The graphics and action sequences look excellent! We get to see glimpses of Freida’s character, Phaedra, but not a whole lot yet she looks absolutely great in the trailer. It’s clear that this film is totally different from any of the other projects Freida has lined up. The film also stars Henry Cavill, Mickey Rourke and Kellan Lutz and will be released across the globe on the 11th November. Check out the trailer below, and please leave a comment with your opinion of the trailer.

The brutal and bloodthirsty King Hyperion (Mickey Rourke) and his murderous Heraklion army are rampaging across Greece in search of the long lost Bow of Epirus. With the invincible Bow, the king will be able to overthrow the Gods of Olympus and become the undisputed master of his world. With ruthless efficiency, Hyperion and his legions destroy everything in their wake, and it seems nothing will stop the evil king’s mission. As village after village is obliterated, a stonemason named Theseus (Henry Cavill) vows to avenge the death of his mother in one of Hyperion’s raids. When Theseus meets the Sybelline Oracle, Phaedra (Freida Pinto), her disturbing visions of the young man’s future convince her that he is the key to stopping the destruction. With her help, Theseus assembles a small band of followers and embraces his destiny in a final desperate battle for the future of humanity.

‘Rise of the Apes’ Becomes ‘Rise of the Planet of the Apes’

According to Movie Web, 20th Century Fox has given a new title to its Planet of the Apes prequel, which was formerly titled Rise of the Apes, is now titled Rise of the Planet of the Apes, to keep it more in line with previous films in the franchise.

Rise of the Planet of the Apes is an origin story in the truest sense of the term. Set in present day San Francisco, the film is a reality-based cautionary tale, a science fiction/science fact blend, where man’s own experiments with genetic engineering lead to the development of intelligence in apes and the onset of a war for supremacy.

The first movie trailer is expected to hit theaters on April 15th!

Rise of the Planet of the Apes comes to theaters August 5th, 2011 and stars James Franco, Brian Cox, Andy Serkis, John Lithgow, Freida Pinto, Tom Felton. The film is directed by Rupert Wyatt.

First Posters from ‘Immortals’ (No Freida)

As mentioned before, Immortals was set to be featured at the WonderCon 2011 in San Francisco yesterday. Along with a cast panel, they also previewed the new character posters from the film! Unfortunately Freida Pinto wasn’t included (probably because she wasn’t able to attend the event). However, the five posters released look hella cool and I’m so pumped to see the movie when it hits theaters this fall!

The movie is directed by Tarsem Singh and stars Henry Cavill, Stephen Dorff, Isabel Lucas, Freida Pinto, Luke Evans, Kellan Lutz, with John Hurt and Mickey Rourke. The official synopsis and the posters can be seen below! Enjoy!
