Another Movie Clip from ‘Rise of the Planet of the Apes’
Another new clip from Rise of the Planet of the Apes has been released. This one is almost all apes as Caesar springs himself from a cage and then gases his fellow primates with the same drug that made him hyper-intelligent. Just as the other clip, this one is highly spoiler-y. Still, if you want to see it, do so below! The movie hits US theatres on August 5.
Freida Pinto Criticised for Shunning Indian Movie Roles
Actress Freida Pinto has been forced to defend herself from critics in her native India over allegations she has turned her back on Bollywood. Pinto rose to international fame in 2008′s Slumdog Millionaire and she has since appeared in a string of Hollywood and American indie projects such as Woody Allen’s You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger and the upcoming films Rise of the Planet of the Apes and Immortals.
But the Mumbai-born actress’ blossoming film success is resented back home by critics, who feel she should be appearing in more Indian movies.
She tells Interview magazine, “I haven’t done a film in India because I haven’t found a script that’s completely gotten my attention and made me passionate to get it made. I keep saying I’m not at all famous in my own country, because people do not think I have done anything for India.
“I was upset initially. I guess everybody in India has tried really hard to do what they do and then move into the West… The reason why I’m doing these things outside my country, bit by bit, is to be able to come back to India equipped with the knowledge and understanding of how to hopefully produce my own films one fine day.”
