On January 15, Freida Pinto appeared on CNN to speak to Erin Burnett about the horrific India gang-rape case. Really happy to see Freida involved in both this case and the Because I am a Girl-project. The video of her CNN appearance can be watched below. Beautiful inside and out!
The very first theatrical trailer of Trishna for the US audience has been released. It gives us a deeper look at the relationship between Trishna and Jay – and I can’t tell you how excited I am to see this movie! Freida seems to bring such a fantastic performance (and according to the majority of the reviews, she truly did) to her character. Be sure to watch the trailer at our video archive and take a look at the stunning HD screencaptures in the gallery.
As reported before, Trishna is released in UK cinemas today! The drama, written and directed by Michael Winterbottom, stars Freida Pinto in the title role and Riz Ahmed as Jay. It’s been given good reviews by UK movie critics, and Freida’s been praised for her performance by both critics and actors. So I’d really recommend you to go see it. If you do, be sure to write your opinion here at Freida Pinto Fan! The UK theatrical trailer has been added to our video archive, as well.
Freida Pinto is on the cover of the Spanish magazine Yo Dona’s February 4 issue; looking absolutely stunning. I have added the outtakes from the shoot to the photo gallery, and a behind the scenes-look to our video archive. Big thanks to Emma for the heads-up. Scans from the magazine are to be added in the coming days, so check back soon!
I have added a brand new layout over at the Freida Pinto Video Archives! This is due to the fact that A) It was long overdue and B) I have modified the archives to be easier to navigate. Because not only is there a new look, but unnecessary stuff have been removed as well, for an easier viewing experience.
I also wanted to ask you. Are there any videos in particular you’d like to see in the archives? I will do my best to add more in the coming weeks, but suggestions are always welcomed! Looking forward to hearing from you, and I hope you will like the new look!
I have added HD screen captures from the Blu-ray edition of Rise of the Planet of the Apes to the gallery. One of the last year’s biggest movies stars Freida Pinto, James Franco and Andy Serkis in a multi-award nominated performance as the ape Caesar. Simply click on the previews below to see all the captures.
Video clips from a few key scenes with Freida’s character Caroline have been added to the video archive, as well!
The date is 11/11/11, and you know what that means! Immortals is finally being released in theaters in countries all around the world! The Greek epic is directed by the awesome Tarsem Singh, and stars Henry Cavill, Freida Pinto, Mickey Rourke, Kellan Lutz, Luke Evans, Isabel Lucas and more. Be sure to visit your local cinema tonight to support the cast and crew – and to get a cool cinematic experience! I know I will. For those of you who still don’t know what Immortals is, I’ve included the synopsis and a trailer below!
Eons after the Gods won their mythic struggle against the Titans, a new evil threatens the land. Mad with power, King Hyperion (Mickey Rourke) has declared war against humanity. Amassing a bloodthirsty army of soldiers disfigured by his own hand, Hyperion has scorched Greece in search of the legendary Epirus Bow, a weapon of unimaginable power forged in the heavens by Ares.
Only he who possesses this bow can unleash the Titans, who have been imprisoned deep within the walls of Mount Tartaros since the dawn of time and thirst for revenge. In the king’s hands, the bow would rain destruction upon mankind and annihilate the Gods. But ancient law dictates the Gods must not intervene in man’s conflict. They remain powerless to stop Hyperion…until a peasant named Theseus (Henry Cavill) comes forth as their only hope.
Secretly chosen by Zeus, Theseus must save his people from Hyperion and his hordes. Rallying a band of fellow outsiders–including visionary priestess Phaedra (Freida Pinto) and cunning slave Stavros (Stephen Dorff) — one hero will lead the uprising, or watch his homeland fall into ruin and his Gods vanish into legend.
To get ready for the release of Immortals tomorrow, I have added HD screen captures of Freida Pinto’s official interview. She talks about her favorite scene, director Tarsem Singh and more in this clip (which can be viewed in the video archive by clicking here) from Relativity Media. Click on the preview below to see all of them in HD.
Also, the latest TV spot, called “Ultimate”, can be seen below. Are you ready for Immortals tomorrow? Will you be watching it this weekend?
