Yesterday, Freida Pinto was photographed as she walked the red carpet of the 4th Annual “Oscar Wilde: Honoring The Irish In Film” Awards, in Los Angeles, CA. She looked fantastic in a short(er than usual) yellow-striped dress and was seen talking to friend (and fantastic actress) Kate Winslet and last year’s Oscar-winner Marion Cotillard. The first 33 105 photos have been added to the gallery.
In other news, screencaptures and a video from yesterday’s interview on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno will be added as soon as possible! Keep checking back for that.
As mentioned in a previous post, Freida Pinto helped to re-open Liberty in London earlier today. She looked unbelievably gorgeous in a peach/pink dress, as she cut the band to the entrance. Check out the first 37 107 photos from the opening in the gallery!
“I’m delighted to see how beautiful it looks after its renaissance. I especially love the scarf and the women’s international rooms.”
Freida is set to attend the re-opening of one of the most loved stores in London – Liberty. Be sure to check back to Freida Pinto Fan tomorrow for coverage from the opening! Read the official statement from Liberty below.
Freida Pinto, the stunning star of award-winning film Slumdog Millionaire, brings her red-carpet glamour to Liberty this Sunday when she presides over the official renaissance of one of London’s best-loved stores following its creative transformation from top to bottom.
Pinto, who has already become a household name for her role as the heroine in Danny Boyle’s film which is hotly tipped to shine at the Oscars next week, has already won a host of fashion accolades for her style and fashion sense.
With Liberty’s Chief Executive, Geoffroy de la Bourdonnaye, Pinto will cut the ribbon at midday to mark Liberty’s official re-opening after a six month long refurbishment, designed to highlight its reputation for innovative design, high fashion and exceptional brands. One of the most original and eclectic stores today, de la Bourdonnaye says of Liberty:
“Liberty is one of the most loved stores in the world. The legacy of Arthur Lasenby Liberty makes the store the ultimate showcase for the finest to meet the rarest. The renaissance takes a multi-tiered approach with the focus on the product, the layout of the store itself and our impeccable style of customer service. While we are proud of our origins as an emporium of the East, we are delighted to create these collaborations with rising new design talent”.
As the previous post stated, Freida attended this year’s ELLE Style Awards yesterday. She looked stunning in a black Chanel dress as she picked up the award for Best Actress. The first 65 70 pictures from the event have been added to the gallery. Enjoy!
As promised, here are two videos from the red carpet of last night’s BAFTA Awards! One from BBC News and the other from Sky News, both donated by the lovely Riikka! Check them out by clicking on the links or after the cut. Enjoy!
I have added another set of 82 88 photos from last night’s Orange British Academy Film Awards. As mentioned earlier, Freida wore Oscar de la Renta (predicted here) to the event, and it might just be my favorite look of her’s so far! I know that I’ve said that numerous times before, but I mean it! Stay posted on Freida Pinto Fan for videos later on today.
The first 31 photos from the 2009 Orange British Academy Film Awards (also known as the BAFTAs) have been added to the gallery! Lots of more coverage – including several video clips – is to come, so stay tuned to Freida Pinto Fan. In the meantime; Enjoy!
I just spotted Freida on the red carpet of the BAFTA Awards and she is looks nothing short of a vision in a stunning pink couture gown. Freida is, of course, nominated for Best Supporting Actress for her portrayal of “Latika” in Slumdog Millionaire. We will have plenty more coverage, including a video of Freida and Dev on the red carpet, later on today and tomorrow! Best of luck to Freida!
Update: Best Supporting Actress went to Penelope Cruz. Slumdog was, however, the winner of the night as it sweeped all of the major awards!
