Update on Freida’s No-Show at Venice Film Festival

As previously mentioned, Freida Pinto, is currently back in India. She missed the world premiere of  Miral at the Venice Film Festival on Thursday night as she had to return home for an emergency. Here’s what her spokesperson had to say about it.

“Yes, Freida has come to attend to a personal matter. But she will attend the screening of the film at the Toronto film festival, which is later this month.”

Freida Not Appearing at Venice Film Festival

According to Italian site MyMovies.it, Freida Pinto had to cancel her attendance at the Venice Film Festival last-minute. She was expected to attend the world premiere of Miral tonight, but an emergency caused her to return to India instead. We wish all the best to Freida and her family, and hope that everything is all right at home.

Freida Pinto is Not Marrying Dev Patel

According to IANS (Indo-Asian News Service), Freida Pinto’s spokesperson has rubbished reports about the actress marrying Dev Patel. Earlier, there were reports that the two were spotted enquiring about a wedding cake at a bakery and making arrangements to fly it to India for their forthcoming wedding.

“These rumours are complete rubbish and baseless. There is not even an ounce of truth in it.” Freida’s spokesperson, Divya Tejuja, told IANS.

The two met in 2008 on the sets of Slumdog Millionaire and started dating some time later. But they kept their romance low-profile and didn’t appear in public together until late last year.

Freida shares her beauty secrets

With being a L’Oreal spokesmodel comes a lot of questions about beauty tips. Freida Pinto isn’t an exception. So here are a few of her basic things. And she uses the Go 360 Clean face wash too, of course. ;)

“I don’t have too many beauty tips because I am not fond of wearing too much make-up but the first would be to drink a lot of water because water really cleanses your system and it keeps you fresh and your eyes looking fresh. I also recommend adding a lot of fruit and vegetables to your diet and not making it too meat centric.

The next one would be sleep well – sleep is as important as food and water and keeps you looking fresh the next day. So if you get a good eight hours sleep it always helps. It all still takes work.”

Freida one of the most stylish women of ’09

Freida Pinto beat off competition from celebrities like supermodel Kate Moss and Lady GaGa to be in the top ten list of Vogue’s most stylish women of 2009. She is ninth on the list, which has been topped by British TV presenter Alexa Chung. Da Vinci Code actress Audrey Tautou on the second place, with Sex And The City star Sarah Jessica Parker on third. X Factor judges Cheryl Cole and Danniie Minogue claimed fourth and the fifth spot, respectively.

Happy belated birthday, Freida!

I want to wish a Happy 25th Birthday to Freida Pinto! I wasn’t able to do a proper update on her b-day – October 18 – but I had it in my mind, as I’m sure many of you did too. I can’t imagine how different her life has become in just one year, and I hope that her coming year will be an even better one for her.

Freida doing a photoshoot for Elle

According to the Vivi Mascaro blog (via The Fashion Spot), Freida Pinto did a photoshoot for Elle magazine while in Paris, earlier today! It was shot at the Galerie Mitsukoshi hotel. It’s unknown which issue (or country, for that matter) it’s for, but hopefully it won’t be too long until we see the photos!
